Summary
Lead technology and innovation efforts for retail, partnering with senior leadership, IT, and operations to develop and deploy technology solutions that enhance customer experience and drive continuous improvement. Own strategy, project planning, vendor relationships, budgeting, change management, and measurement of innovation outcomes across the field.
Responsibilities
- Oversee business development and implementation of new technologies from concept to scale
- Align technology strategies with business goals and identify emerging market trends
- Serve as liaison between field leaders, Finance, IT, and executive sponsors to align scope and execution
- Lead innovation projects within budget and schedule constraints and manage program roadmaps
- Facilitate cross-functional teams and internal and external partnerships to implement solutions
- Provide technical guidance and evaluate technology solutions and vendor performance
- Establish metrics to measure innovation success and report progress to stakeholders
- Oversee change management and field training to ensure adoption and measurement
- Manage project budgets, forecasting, and related operational expenses
Requirements
- Progressive experience in innovation, data management, or technology within large organizations
- Proven ability to manage multiple end to end projects under tight timelines
- Financial acumen to manage budgets, forecasting, and cost optimization
- Proficiency with project management tools such as Smartsheet and advanced Excel skills
- Strong communication, coaching, and relationship management skills
- Ability to work under pressure and prioritize, including flexible schedule and on call responsiveness
- Willingness and ability to travel approximately 25% of the time
- Experience working with retail leadership and executives
