Summary
Lead the Architecture and Design team to deliver next generation 40,000+ square foot design galleries from concept through construction and opening, collaborating with internal partners and external consultants while traveling approximately 30% of the time.
Responsibilities
- Lead projects through all phases of development from concept design to gallery opening
- Support development of design standards and details for large ground up galleries
- Onboard and manage external architects of record and consultant teams
- Review submittals, shop drawings and FF&E procurement for key design elements
- Collaborate cross-functionally to align plans with merchandising and operational requirements
- Partner with construction to resolve on-site design challenges and perform construction administration
- Conduct site visits and travel to project locations approximately 30 percent of the time
- Support hospitality and retail fixture design, development and sourcing
- Contribute to company culture through leadership and adherence to policies
Requirements
- College degree in architecture or interior architecture
- 5 years of experience in large scale high-end retail or hospitality design
- Experience developing floor plans, elevations, details and managing concurrent projects
- Highly proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, Sketch Up, Bluebeam, Google Suite and Adobe Creative Suite
- Ability to lead consultant meetings and communicate project status to leadership
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Superior time management skills in a fast-paced environment
- Comfort with executive-level project reviews and executing directives
