Summary
Lead architecture and design projects for next generation large format design galleries from concept through construction and opening. Collaborate with internal partners and external consultants to develop design standards, prepare permit sets and resolve on-site design challenges while traveling approximately 30% of the time.
Responsibilities
- Lead projects for ground up 40,000+ square foot design galleries through all phases of development.
- Onboard and coordinate external architects of record and design consultants.
- Develop and maintain design standards and detailed drawings for gallery rollouts.
- Review submittals, shop drawings and FF E procurement for key design elements.
- Partner with construction teams to resolve on-site design issues and challenges.
- Collaborate with merchandising operations to incorporate operational requirements into plans.
- Conduct site visits and travel to project locations, approximately 30% of the time.
- Support hospitality and retail fixture design development and sourcing.
Requirements
- College degree in architecture or interior architecture.
- 5 years of experience in large scale high-end retail or hospitality design.
- Proficiency in Revit AutoCAD Sketch Up Bluebeam Google Suite and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Strong written and verbal communication and executive level presentation skills.
- Ability to lead consultant meetings and communicate project priorities to leadership.
- Superior time management skills in a fast paced environment.
- Team player with collaborative leadership and problem solving orientation.
