Lease Accounting Manager, Americas

Summary

The Lease Accounting Manager oversees lease accounting activities for the Americas region, ensuring accurate financial records and compliance with IFRS 16 and company policies. This role manages the full lease lifecycle and partners with finance, real estate, legal, and regional teams to support reporting and business decisions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain lease records and analyze contracts, modifications, and terminations for appropriate accounting treatment.
• Manage lease data in SAP and oversee journal entries, reconciliations, payments, and financial close activities.
• Coordinate lease administration, landlord inquiries, CAM audits, rent calculations, and sales reporting.
• Prepare lease audit schedules, support internal and external audits, and maintain Swiss SOX controls.
• Partner with FP&A and other teams on reporting, cash flow analysis, and process improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting; CPA certification or a master's degree is a plus.
• At least 7 years of progressive accounting experience, with significant lease accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS 16, lease agreements, and lease accounting software.
• Proficiency with SAP or a similar large-scale ERP system.
• Strong analytical, communication, organizational, and collaboration skills.
