Licensed Optician

Summary

The Licensed Optician supports the success of a luxury retail store by delivering exceptional service and exceeding sales expectations. This role builds lasting client relationships and ensures eyewear meets high standards of fit, accuracy, and quality.

Responsibilities

• Guide customers in choosing frames and lenses suited to their lifestyle, wardrobe, prescription, and budget.
• Accurately take and record measurements, adjust and fit eyewear, and ensure finished eyewear meets quality standards.
• Build client relationships and meet sales and service standards.
• Maintain product knowledge, presentation standards, and inventory controls.
• Support optical quality controls, store events, and training and mentoring for managers and associates.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• State licensure or certification by a nationally recognized opticianry association.
• At least 2 years of luxury service industry sales experience.
• Knowledge of current optical theory and practices.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, computer, and client relationship skills.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.
