Summary
The Merchandising Manager, Womenswear & Licensed Goods leads product strategy and seasonal buying for Diesel across North America, driving assortment performance for retail and e-commerce. The role is accountable for assortment architecture, SKU productivity, pricing framework, and commercial results, and partners closely with global and cross-functional teams. Weekly in-store visits and up to 35% travel are required to align local execution with the brand vision.
Responsibilities
- Translate global brand strategy into commercially optimized North American womenswear and licensed goods assortments.
- Own pre-season and in-season buys, assortment architecture, SKU efficiency, and open-to-buy management.
- Manage regional pricing framework in partnership with HQ to protect AUR and price integrity.
- Define category segmentation, regional exclusives, and assortment cadence to drive sell-through and inventory productivity.
- Provide cross-channel competitive research, trend analysis, and commercial insight to inform seasonal strategy.
- Forecast demand using sales data, client feedback, and market signals; monitor sell-through and markdown mix.
- Partner with Retail, Visual Merchandising, E-commerce, Planning, and Finance to optimize presentation and conversion.
Requirements
- 4+ years of progressive merchandising experience in luxury or premium retail.
- Proven track record building assortments that deliver sales and attract new clients.
- Advanced analytical skills with fluency in open-to-buy, sell-through analysis, and demand forecasting.
- Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills with high attention to detail.
- Strategic problem-solver with strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Ability to travel up to 35%, including overnight and weekends.
