Summary
The Senior Manager, Buying - Shoes will lead seasonal merchandising strategies and develop fashion-forward assortments for the U.S. market, driving the Shoes business across boutiques and channels. The role requires strong commercial acumen, product point of view, and the ability to translate client and market insights into assortment and pricing decisions. This position is based in the New York Home Office with a minimum three days in-person office presence.
Responsibilities
- Partner with the Senior Group Director, Shoes to shape and implement the category strategic vision and initiatives.
- Curate creative, commercially relevant assortments across eight collections annually aligned with U.S. market needs and boutique opportunities.
- Own Open-to-Buy accountability and lead in-season business analysis and reporting evolution.
- Optimize inventory through transfers, consolidations, and fulfillment of client requests; lead pricing and harmonization for Shoes.
- Develop and present buy reviews, performance analyses, and clear recommendations to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with Visual Merchandising, Merchandise Planning, Client Analytics, and adjacent product teams to drive cohesive execution.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Minimum seven years of experience in buying or strategic and analytical merchandising roles, preferably in fashion or luxury retail.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; Power BI experience is a plus.
- Strong analytical, commercial, and product judgement with experience translating data into actionable assortment strategies.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally for market enrichment, events, and boutique support.
- Based in New York Home Office with a minimum of three days in-person office presence per week.
