Operations Assistant - Yorkdale

Summary

The Operations Assistant supports boutique operations and the Operations Manager by performing clerical and administrative duties and helping to supervise the Heart of House team. The role ensures accurate inventory control, timely processing of incoming and outgoing merchandise, and high standards of presentation and client service. This full-time position is based in-store at the Yorkdale boutique.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Operations Manager with day-to-day administrative and clerical tasks and supervise Heart of House staff.
• Respond to internal and external inquiries via telephone and email and support the sales floor as needed.
• Manage inventory processes including RFID, cycle counts, and year-end inventory; maintain inventory integrity and process transfers.
• Receive and dispatch incoming and outgoing merchandise within 24 hours and reconcile daily boutique invoices.
• Oversee customer-owned goods, repairs/alterations, consignment, boutique supplies, spare parts, and uniform orders.
• Maintain document retention, ensure boutique cleanliness and organization, and follow standard operating procedures.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years retail operations and/or stock experience.
• Strong knowledge of shipping and receiving, inventory control, and boutique operations.
• Customer-focused with excellent verbal and written communication and strong organizational attention to detail.
• Ability to lift approximately 15-20 lbs and perform in-store opening/closing and receiving duties.
• Comfortable collaborating with different departments; additional languages are an asset.
