Operations Associate - River Oaks

Summary

The Operations Associate is responsible for maintaining the store's inventory and stock areas, processing inbound and outbound shipments, and safeguarding company assets through proper inventory control. This role supports accurate receiving and distribution of merchandise, minimizes stock loss, and helps maintain housekeeping and organization in the back-of-house and sales floor. The associate will coordinate with central distribution and participate in inventory and cycle counts to ensure stock integrity.

Responsibilities

• Process all shipping and receiving functions accurately and efficiently, including inbound freight and transfers
• Maintain an orderly, neat stock and receiving area and support general store maintenance
• Ensure merchandise is properly ticketed, sensored, and security tagged to prevent loss
• Process returns-to-vendor (RTVs), chargebacks, damages, and related inventory transactions per policy
• Support and comply with established receiving practices, record-keeping, and safekeeping of company property
• Communicate with central distribution and corporate inventory control as needed
• Participate in inventory and cycle counts and assist with floor moves and merchandising tasks

Requirements

• Previous retail stock, shipping, or receiving experience
• Ability to handle receiving operations and properly handle merchandise
• Strong interpersonal, communication, organizational, and follow-through skills
• Ability to read, count, and write to complete documentation accurately
• Proficiency processing information and merchandise through inventory computer systems
• Capacity to operate required equipment, including sensor-tag removers and inventory systems
• Ability to work varied hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and move and handle boxes and fixtures, including heavy lifting
