Summary
Manage back-of-house operations for a luxury retail store, overseeing shipment processing, inventory control, and distribution while partnering with store leadership to ensure replenishment aligns with sales potential. Coach and develop operational staff and maintain organized stockroom standards. Ensure compliance with company policies and safety procedures to support smooth store functioning.
Responsibilities
- Manage a team of back-of-house staff and support their professional development through coaching and feedback.
- Oversee accurate processing of shipments, transfers, reservations, and consignments according to company guidelines.
- Optimize inventory management and streamline operational processes to maintain appropriate stock levels.
- Coordinate movement of merchandise from back-of-house to sales floor and ensure proper labeling and organization.
- Conduct cycle counts and regular audits to verify product quantities and conditions and report discrepancies.
- Collaborate with the Store Manager to support performance management and provide constructive feedback.
- Identify opportunities to improve back-of-house functions and enhance operational efficiency.
- Enforce company policies and safety procedures to maintain a safe and organized workspace.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of operational management experience, preferably in luxury retail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, SAP, and other digital tools.
- Strong leadership, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong knowledge of operations and inventory control processes.
- Ability to lift and move objects up to 40 pounds.
- Experience conducting cycle counts and inventory audits.
- Excellent communication and coaching abilities to drive team performance.
