Summary
Provide exceptional customer service and optical expertise by assisting customers with frame selection, measurements, fittings and adjustments while supporting store sales goals and maintaining brand standards. Serve as a technical resource and leader in the location, using technology to enhance the customer experience and ensuring finished eyewear meets optical standards.
Responsibilities
- Engage customers and patients to guide frame selection and provide eyewear care education.
- Take and record accurate measurements and perform adjustments and fittings.
- Operate the Point of Sale terminal, process transactions and handle payments securely.
- Troubleshoot and resolve optical or customer service issues, seeking long term solutions.
- Maintain visual displays and store appearance according to planograms.
- Serve as a center of excellence and mentor for optical skills development of associates.
- Ensure finished eyewear meets optical standards and customer requests.
- Demonstrate safe work practices and maintain a safe work environment.
Requirements
- State licensure if applicable or ABO certification in non licensed states.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Knowledge of optical theory, dispensing and inventory systems.
- Strong communication and listening skills with customer service experience.
- Comfortable using technology such as tablets to engage customers.
- Awareness of current fashion trends and product assortment.
- Previous optical dispensing or retail experience preferred.
