Optometric Technician

As an Optometric Technician at Lake Havasu Family Eyecare, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality optometric care and ensuring an exceptional patient experience. You will work closely with the optometrist and other team members to facilitate seamless patient care and support the practice's operations.

• Assist with patient care and eye exams, managing patient records and supporting patient flow.
• Perform various tests to aid the optometrist, including visual acuity measurements and retinal imaging.
• Review prescriptions and patient information, consulting with Optometrists or Practice Manager as needed.
• Handle patient records in accordance with practice standards and HIPAA.
• Support contact lens exams and orders, maintaining trial inventory and patient orders.
• Operate the point-of-sale system and manage sales transactions.
• Maintain a safe working environment and support visual merchandising compliance.
• Adapt to various examination scenarios and provide clinical support to the Optometrist.
• Work weekends and evenings as needed.

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• 2+ years of experience in optometry, ophthalmology, or healthcare setting.
• Knowledge of optical and medical terminology.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Optometric technician certification preferred.
