Product Development Associate

Summary

The Product Development Associate supports the Design and Development team in engineering and documenting furniture collections at the Dmitriy & Co studio in Los Angeles. The role creates CAD models and technical drawings, implements engineering revisions, and produces manufacturing and presentation materials to translate design concepts into production-ready files. This position collaborates with designers and cross-functional teams to maintain specifications and improve product development workflows.

Responsibilities

• Use SolidWorks to create CAD models, technical drawings, and manufacturing documentation for furniture products
• Implement developmental and engineering revisions across existing product lines
• Translate design concepts into production-ready CAD files and manufacturing documentation for new collections
• Assist in the creation of design presentations and product development materials
• Document design reviews, development meetings, and project updates to support implementation
• Create, maintain, and organize product support documentation, specifications, and technical resources
• Contribute to continuous improvements in product development workflows and documentation standards

Requirements

• 2+ years of product development experience; furniture industry experience preferred
• High proficiency in SolidWorks
• Knowledge of furniture construction, materials, and manufacturing processes; upholstery experience a plus
• Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
• Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and problem-solving skills; collaborative and self-motivated
