Summary
Manage end to end product development projects for High Jewelry, Fine Jewelry, and OOAK product lines, owning vendor communication and coordinating cross functional teams to deliver products on time and to specification. Maintain product documentation and systems such as PLM and Oracle while supporting manufacturability, cost, and quality improvement initiatives. Report project status to leadership and ensure samples and finished goods are tracked and dispositioned.
Responsibilities
- Lead project management for new product development focusing on engineering, manufacturing, cost, and design aesthetic needs
- Serve as primary contact with external vendors during development collaboration
- Partner with internal departments to ensure seamless development across the product lifecycle
- Track and align development projects with established timelines and report status to management
- Execute and maintain product documentation including project kits and supplemental documents
- Collaborate on technological solutions to improve manufacturability, cost, and quality
- Maintain PLM and Oracle systems to ensure data integrity
- Execute and track new finished good and sample orders and ensure proper dispositioning
- Organize and account for jewelry pieces associated with ongoing projects
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years project management experience in the jewelry industry or manufacturing engineering
- Demonstrated experience in new product development
- Knowledge of jewelry manufacturing techniques, precious metal metallurgy, and basic gemstones
- Highly organized and detail oriented with strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast paced environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe Suite (Excel, Photoshop, InDesign)
- Working knowledge of Product Lifecycle Management and Oracle software
- Practical CAD knowledge is a plus
