Summary
The Project Manager of Store Planning and Construction will lead delivery of store planning and construction projects for North America, ensuring alignment with budget, schedule, and quality while coordinating cross functional stakeholders and overseeing day to day execution from design through closeout.
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership for capital expense budgets and capital expenditure requests and ensure compliance with processes and governance.
- Coordinate and manage drawing sets and milestone reviews from schematic design through construction documents.
- Establish competitive bidding, contract administration, and project financial controls including bid books and cost plans.
- Oversee construction activities and conduct weekly OAC meetings with documentation.
- Manage capital accountability, forecasting, savings, and approvals for project budgets.
- Review and negotiate work letters with landlords and conduct initial site reviews and travel for site visits as required.
- Close out projects within 90 days after store opening and perform post opening project audits with design and retail teams.
- Leverage architects, suppliers, and general contractors to meet project schedules and adapt lifecycles for quicker openings.
- Provide reporting to leadership on project status and recommend adjustments to ensure timely completion.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in architecture or construction project management.
- 3 years of experience within a store planning design or construction environment.
- Experience collaborating with vendors and consultants in the North America market including Mexico.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Project, AutoCAD, ProCore, and similar software.
- Knowledge of ADA codes and strong technical ability for report creation.
- Strong collaboration, cross functional communication, and managerial skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize effectively.
- Strategic problem solving and ability to influence decision makers.
- Excellent written verbal communication and presentation skills.
