Job Description

Summary

As a Public Relations Specialist, you will play a crucial role in supporting the PR and Communications Manager and VP of Communications in overseeing press-related activities across the North, Central, and South America markets. Your primary responsibilities will include managing sample trafficking, maintaining strong relationships with fashion and editorial teams, and supporting event programming and VIP efforts.

Responsibilities
  • Manage print sample trafficking for the North, Central, and South American markets.
  • Work directly with HQ on all sample needs and manage seasonal PR sample orders.
  • Oversee press credit distribution, archiving, and reporting.
  • Manage the showroom, data management tools, inventory, and contact databases.
  • Communicate brand image activities internally across corporate and retail teams.
  • Manage and train PR assistants, coordinators, and interns.
  • Support in the creation of the AMER PR strategy and event needs.
  • Cultivate and maintain working relationships with key editors and media outlets.
  • Manage PR photography for new store openings and HQ image requests.
  • Support AMER Merch Department by managing Monthly Merch Credit Report.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in fashion public relations.
  • Excellent editorial contacts at major national publications.
  • Established connections with PR and Marketing agencies.
  • Strong experience in sample trafficking and managing interns and assistants.
  • Understanding of luxury environment and media landscape.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to travel internationally and domestically.
