Summary

The Retail Salesperson in the Home Department sells and styles home merchandise while cultivating lasting customer relationships both in-store and digitally. This role sets and achieves sales goals using selling tools including text and social media, provides personalized styling and fit advice, and helps maintain a customer-ready department. The position requires schedule flexibility and the ability to occasionally work in other departments.

Responsibilities

• Set and achieve individual sales goals for in-store and digital selling using phone, text, and social media tools
• Build and maintain relationships with customers and grow a personal customer following
• Provide honest, confident styling and fit advice to customers
• Support department readiness by filling orders, stocking, re-merchandising, price markdowns, and light cleaning
• Open new rewards program accounts and assist customers with digital transactions
• Perform occasional duties in other departments as business needs require

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-focused approach
• Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and comfortable using technology for selling
• Ability to work effectively in a team and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Flexible availability to meet varying business schedules
• Physical ability to stand and move continuously for 6-8 hours and perform frequent bending, reaching, and lifting
• Ability to regularly lift up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds
