Summary
Retail Salesperson responsible for driving in-store and digital sales within the shoes department, building customer relationships, providing styling and fit guidance, and maintaining a customer ready department. The role requires flexibility in schedule and occasional work in other departments as needed.
Responsibilities
- Set and achieve sales goals through in-store and digital selling using texts and social media
- Build and maintain lasting relationships with customers
- Provide excellent customer service and confident styling and fit advice
- Use networking and technology to grow customer following and sales
- Open new Nordstrom Rewards program accounts to grow customer base
- Fill orders, stock merchandise, re-merchandise, and perform price markdowns
- Perform light cleaning to keep the department customer ready
- Work with the team and be flexible to perform duties in other departments when required
Requirements
- Excellent communication and people skills
- Self-motivated and goal oriented
- Strong interest in using networking and technology for sales
- Ability to excel in a team environment and prioritize multiple tasks
- Organization and strong follow through
- Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs
- Ability to continuously move for 6-8 hours per shift with frequent bending and reaching
- Ability to regularly lift items up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds
