Summary

The Retail Salesperson is passionate about fashion and styling and is responsible for cultivating and growing a customer following through both in-store and digital channels. This role focuses on meeting sales goals, delivering exceptional customer service, and building lasting customer relationships. The position requires flexibility to support department needs and occasional work in other departments.

Responsibilities

• Set and achieve sales goals for in-store and digital selling using selling tools including text and social media.
• Build and maintain lasting relationships with customers and grow the customer base.
• Provide excellent service and honest, confident feedback on style and fit.
• Keep the department customer-ready by filling orders, stocking, re-merchandising, performing price markdowns, and light cleaning.
• Open new Nordstrom Rewards accounts and support team sales initiatives.
• Work a flexible schedule based on business needs and occasionally perform duties in other departments.

Requirements

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a self-motivated, goal-oriented focus.
• Interest and ability to use networking and technology to achieve sales goals, including social media and texting.
• Ability to excel in a team environment, prioritize multiple tasks, and follow through in a fast-paced setting.
• Flexible availability to meet business needs.
• Physical ability to continuously move for 6-8 hours per shift with frequent bending, twisting, squatting, reaching, and occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.
