Summary

The Retail Salesperson delivers personalized fashion and styling guidance to customers both in-store and digitally. They are responsible for meeting sales goals, building lasting customer relationships, and maintaining department presentation and inventory.

Responsibilities

• Set and achieve sales goals for in-store and digital selling
• Use selling tools including text and social media to grow customer following
• Build and maintain lasting relationships with customers and open Nordstrom Rewards accounts
• Provide confident, honest feedback on style and fit
• Fill orders, stock, re-merchandise, perform price markdowns, and perform light cleaning to keep the department customer ready
• Be flexible to perform duties in other departments as needed and work a variable schedule

Requirements

• Excellent communication and people skills
• Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and organized with strong follow-through
• Interest in using networking and technology to achieve sales goals
• Ability to excel in a team environment and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting
• Physical ability to move continuously for 6-8 hours, perform frequent bending and reaching, and lift up to 25 pounds
