Summary
The Retail Trainer - Northeast drives continuous learning and delivers high-impact training across classroom, in-store, and on-the-floor environments to elevate client experience and sales performance. This field-focused role spends most time in stores coaching Client Advisors and collaborating with store leadership to develop product expertise and selling skills.
Responsibilities
- Deliver in-store and classroom training programs for retail teams.
- Provide on-floor coaching, real-time feedback, and performance improvement plans.
- Partner with Store Managers to assess competencies and create targeted development plans.
- Support onboarding of new hires and ongoing training for existing staff.
- Track training effectiveness using internal tools and sales impact analysis.
- Lead product knowledge sessions emphasizing storytelling and craftsmanship.
- Collaborate with regional and global partners to develop learning solutions.
- Reinforce key selling behaviors and personalized client service techniques.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of retail industry experience, ideally including retail management.
- Previous experience in training or development roles.
- Strong influencing, communication, and presentation skills.
- Project management experience and experience with digital learning platforms.
- Comfortable working in store environments with flexible schedules.
- Knowledge of adult learning methodologies and training evaluation.
- Strong retail business acumen and analytical mindset.
- Fluency in English; additional languages a plus.
