Sales Assistant

As a Sales Assistant at Saks Fifth Avenue in New York, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service and supporting the sales team in a luxury retail environment. • Provide exceptional customer service by greeting clients warmly and sharing information on health and safety protocols.
• Assist clients by answering questions and facilitating a seamless boutique experience.
• Maintain traffic flow to ensure optimal service levels.
• Communicate proactively with clients regarding wait times and in-boutique experiences.
• Support the sales team in driving sales performance and client retention.
• Act as a liaison between clients and client advisors at the point of sale.
• Manage product launches, pre-sales, reservations, and client credit card organization.
• Develop and maintain detailed product knowledge to enhance client experiences.
• Process client shipments, consignments, transfers, and stock.
• Align with loss prevention procedures to ensure inventory integrity.
• Pack shipments securely according to required specifications.
• Support the stock team with parcel shipments using designated carriers.
• Maintain shipping supplies and prioritize inventory management.

• Minimum of 1 year experience in a luxury selling environment.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Natural problem-solving abilities with analytical and creative thinking.
• Integrity and business maturity with a client-focused approach.
• Outstanding attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in using POS systems and inventory management functions.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
