Summary
The Sales Manager is responsible for the sales experience of assigned store department(s), driving team performance toward sales goals, partnering with merchants and client development leads, and ensuring department standards for presentation and operations are met. This role works on-site and reports to a Senior Group Manager.
Responsibilities
- Drive department sales and growth in alignment with company vision and values
- Oversee merchandise presentation and manage communications with merchant and vendor partners
- Manage team execution and adjust for risks to meet departmental objectives
- Set priorities and contribute to store strategic goals
- Review business with Buyers and develop action plans to improve results
- Establish plans and strategies with Client Development Leads
- Analyze customer behaviors and trends to adjust processes and standards
- Plan and manage departmental budgets to control expenses and maximize revenue
- Support audit compliance and maintain department and stockroom controls
Requirements
- 4-6 years of relevant experience, including luxury retail fashion experience
- Proven track record of achieving sales results
- Experience building, leading, motivating, and coaching teams
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to stand, bend, climb stairs, and lift up to 10 pounds when required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Customer focused and results driven
