Summary
Seasonal logistics processor responsible for receiving, unpacking and delivering merchandise to selling departments, fulfilling and preparing customer orders, and supporting general store operations. Works independently in a fast paced environment and uses inventory systems to process shipments while maintaining quality and organization. Role requires physical stamina and flexibility to handle merchandise and assist with store setups and markdowns.
Responsibilities
- Receive and unload freight and unpack merchandise for delivery to selling departments
- Fulfill customer orders promptly following quality and packing standards
- Prepare and ship customer orders according to packing and shipping procedures
- Utilize inventory management systems to scan and process merchandise shipments
- Research and resolve inventory discrepancies in accordance with control processes
- Assist in maintaining clean and organized selling floors and stockrooms
- Support store activities such as special event setup, markdowns, and relocating fixtures
- Handle merchandise movement including lifting, carrying, bending and reaching as required
Requirements
- High level of ownership, accountability and initiative
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Comfort with using various technologies and new computer applications
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule based on business needs
- Ability to continuously move for 6 to 8 hours per shift with frequent bending and reaching
- Frequent use of hands for grasping and manipulation and ability to handle bulky items
- Capable of lifting regularly up to 10 pounds and frequently up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds
