The Selling Manager is a store leadership role responsible for executing strategic plans to drive profitable business results, coaching and developing a small sales team, and ensuring excellent customer experiences through advanced selling tools and performance management.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the sales team through coaching, feedback and goal setting
- Monitor and achieve sales targets, KPIs and performance metrics
- Model selling behaviors and lead by example on the sales floor
- Implement clienteling strategies to build customer loyalty
- Execute promotional activities and sales events
- Support inventory control and maintain productivity standards
- Supervise daily cash transactions, deposits and register balancing
- Participate in recruitment and interviews as needed
- Champion new selling technologies and communicate performance tools to the team
Requirements
- Retail supervisory or similar industry experience
- Proven track record of driving sales and building customer relationships
- Strong communication, planning and time management skills
- Ability to operate register, stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and perform physical tasks on the sales floor
- Flexibility to work days, evenings, weekends and occasional travel
- Awareness of fashion trends and business acumen
