Summary
Lead merchandising for knit and sweater categories, driving product strategy, line planning and cross functional coordination to support regional and global brand direction. Manage development process with design, production and planning to meet margin targets and calendar milestones while developing a merchandising team.
Responsibilities
- Establish line plans with planning team reflecting regional needs and merchandising strategy
- Partner with regional teams to understand and support regional business needs
- Create and present seasonal product strategy and line plans for the category
- Partner with production and design to achieve product category IMU targets
- Serve as merchant lead during proto and line reviews and status meetings
- Drive calendar and process for key milestones and board reviews
- Manage team deliverables for line adoption and openings
- Ensure integrity and timely communication of merchandising systems and information
- Work with marketing on product needs for campaigns and identify efficiency opportunities
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Merchandising or buying experience
- Strong analytical and retail math skills
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills
- Highly organized, detail oriented and able to manage multiple tasks
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint
- Knowledge of competition and trend identification for brand-appropriate opportunities
