Senior Designer Women's Apparel

Summary

Senior Designer responsible for conceptualizing, sketching and executing women's apparel collections that represent the brand ethos and appeal to the target customer. This hybrid role is based at the downtown headquarters and involves leadership, cross-functional collaboration and ownership of category design direction and calendar management.

Responsibilities

• Conceptualize and sketch original commercially viable product for women's apparel
• Act as fashion authority to drive brand designs and point of view
• Manage design team calendar to meet milestones and due dates
• Research materials, components, trends and competitive brands
• Prioritize workload and complex work streams across the design team
• Collaborate with leadership and cross divisional partners to ensure alignment
• Manage and develop an efficient design team through feedback and development plans
• Handle high volume of styles while maintaining appropriate detail for audiences

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Design preferred
• 7+ years experience in the design industry
• 2+ years experience managing a design team preferred
• Strong hand sketching ability
• Proficiency in MS Office and Adobe Creative Suite
• Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team with strong time management
• Strong understanding of industry and trends
