Job Description

Summary

As a Senior Print Designer at Nordstrom, you will collaborate with our in-house Design team to create original artwork for our Nordstrom Product Group Brands. This role requires a creative artist capable of developing exclusive prints and saleable concepts that align with market trends and resonate with the brand's customers.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the design process from concept to completion, ensuring alignment with the Director on priorities and artwork direction.
  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis for inspiration and product opportunities.
  • Lead multiple brands and categories with expert knowledge of the contemporary market.
  • Research and present print and color trend direction, creating design boards for each season.
  • Ensure prints align with market trends, business strategy, and cost parameters.
  • Provide leadership and influence within the operating area.
  • Develop staff through coaching, feedback, and performance assessments.
  • Oversee content catering to meet cross-functional team needs.
  • Travel seasonally for research and product development.
Requirements
  • Degree in Apparel/Fashion Design/Textile/Print/Graphic Design.
  • 7-10 years of experience in design.
  • Strong design and conceptual skills with knowledge of textiles and artwork techniques.
  • Proficiency in Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, NED Graphics, Procreate, and/or Fresco.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively.
  • Highly organized with effective communication skills.
  • Ability to coach and develop direct reports.
