Senior Leader, Merchandising

Summary

Senior Leader of Merchandising responsible for shaping product strategies and bringing product to market to meet strategic, financial, and brand equity objectives. This role partners across sourcebook, galleries, and web platforms to achieve sales and margin goals and ensure timely product launches. The leader will present insights, drive meetings, and communicate with vendors to execute pricing and receipt strategies.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategies to meet sales and margin forecasts
• Ensure all key dates in the product development and launch calendar are met
• Integrate consumer and competitive insights into business strategies
• Conduct and drive action oriented weekly business meetings
• Participate in financial review and senior management meetings presenting corrective actions
• Ensure effective communication with vendors regarding products pricing execution and timely receipts
• Lead and execute strategic business planning and drive innovation

Requirements

• 7+ years of direct merchandising experience
• Retail environment experience preferred
• Highly developed financial business skills
• Strong planning and organizational capabilities
• Excellent communication including influencing and negotiation
• Experience developing category product strategies
• Proficiency with MS Office including Word and Excel
