Summary
Senior Manager Customs Compliance to lead and evolve customs strategy, manage the customs and sales administration team, and drive process and technology initiatives to optimize duty spend and ensure global import export compliance. Role requires cross functional collaboration to standardize scalable compliance processes and prepare the company for regulatory and digital trade changes. Position is based in the corporate office with four days per week on site and leadership responsibilities for team development and performance monitoring.
Responsibilities
- Define and lead global customs compliance strategy aligned with business growth.
- Implement automation analytics and other technology solutions to improve compliance processes.
- Ensure compliance with global import export regulations and lead regulatory change responses.
- Own classification strategy and partner for origin determination to reduce audit risk.
- Optimize customs duty exposure using FTAs bonded warehouses duty drawback and similar strategies.
- Oversee sales administration including order management accuracy pricing validation and fulfillment processes.
- Drive process standardization scalability and continuous improvement across geographies.
- Build lead and mentor a team of customs compliance professionals fostering accountability and excellence.
- Establish compliance KPIs dashboards and manage risk and audit activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor or Master degree in International Business Supply Chain Law or related field.
- 10+ years progressive experience in supply chain logistics or customs compliance.
- 3-5 years experience in a management role.
- U.S. Customs Broker License or equivalent credential.
- Proven experience driving digital transformation process innovation in compliance or logistics.
- Strong project management stakeholder engagement and decision making skills.
- Ability to influence at executive level and lead cross functional initiatives.
