Senior Manager Data Engineering

Summary

Senior Manager Data Engineering to lead the BI and CRM data engineering team based in New York City, responsible for architecting and scaling data platforms to support CRM, personalization, and analytics across the global luxury retail ecosystem. Role partners with CRM, Marketing, Analytics, and IT to deliver compliant, high-performance data solutions and to build a high-performing engineering team. Requires technical leadership, hands-on data engineering experience in GCP BigQuery and related tooling, and people management skills.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive long-term data engineering strategy for CRM data platforms
• Architect scalable data architectures and pipelines using BigQuery and cloud tooling
• Oversee design implementation and maintenance of ETL ELT pipelines and data models
• Serve as data governance custodian ensuring data accuracy privacy and compliance
• Partner with CRM Marketing Analytics and IT to translate business needs into technical solutions
• Lead mentor and grow a team of data engineers architects and analysts
• Drive adoption of emerging technologies such as BigQuery ML and Vertex AI
• Guide enterprise integration with Salesforce Data Cloud Reltio MDM and reporting tools

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of technical data engineering experience with SQL Python and cloud platforms
• Experience with GCP BigQuery pipeline orchestration and related services
• Familiarity with CRM and CDP systems such as Salesforce Data Cloud and Marketing Cloud
• Proven people management and leadership experience building engineering teams
• Strong knowledge of data governance privacy security and compliance practices
• Experience with data acquisition APIs ETL ELT scheduling and data modeling
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent technical experience in a related field
