Summary
The Global Demand Planner will lead demand planning initiatives to develop a world class demand plan that improves forecast accuracy and aligns demand projections with corporate strategy. This role partners with regional and cross functional teams to implement advanced planning methodologies, drive process improvements, and translate market intelligence into actionable forecasts for a global apparel and consumer goods business.
Responsibilities
- Review sales and inventory forecast inputs from regional planning and allocation teams
- Ensure sales by category region and channel align with product strategy and trends
- Track and meet forecast accuracy targets and refine forecasting processes
- Propose and implement process improvements and efficiency enhancements
- Partner with regional supply product and merchandise planning teams to align the Demand Plan with strategy
- Evaluate industry trends growth rates and demand drivers for long term forecasting
- Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders to drive adoption of planning tools and insights
- Act as a change agent to transform forecasting methodologies tools and ways of working
- Create reports presentations and ad hoc analyses to communicate forecasts and recommendations
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business supply chain statistics economics or related field preferred
- 5+ years of progressive experience in demand planning forecasting or supply chain in apparel or consumer goods
- Experience with demand planning tools in a complex multi region environment
- Hands on experience with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle and planning software like Anaplan or Blue Yonder preferred
- Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with statistical forecasting tools and data analytics platforms such as Python R or Power BI
- Ability to analyze large datasets identify trends and translate insights into recommendations
- Understanding of retail operations merchandising and supply chain planning in a global environment
- Strong business judgment problem solving and continuous improvement mindset
