Summary
Enterprise security leader responsible for defining Nordstrom's platform security vision, architecture, and governance across multi-cloud and emerging technology environments. The role shapes long-term security strategy, drives cross-functional transformation, and advises executive leadership on risk, compliance, and security investments. Serves as a mentor to senior technical leaders and represents the company externally on platform security matters.
Responsibilities
- Define and evangelize a long-term platform security vision, principles, and governance frameworks across the enterprise.
- Architect enterprise-wide security solutions and reference architectures for cloud, container, AI/ML, and emerging technologies.
- Lead cross-functional security transformation initiatives and influence vendor and industry roadmaps.
- Quantify security investments, model business risk, and present strategic recommendations to executive leadership.
- Mentor and develop senior engineers, architects, and technical leaders in platform security practices.
- Drive adoption of standards such as Zero Trust, secure infrastructure-as-code, and advanced threat modeling across technology teams.
Requirements
- 12+ years in cybersecurity with 5+ years leading enterprise-level security architecture initiatives.
- Proven track record defining security strategy at large enterprises and driving consensus across technical and business stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Cybersecurity or related field; Master's degree strongly preferred.
- Experience with multi-cloud security (AWS/Azure/GCP), Zero Trust, DevSecOps, SIEM/SOAR/XDR, and container orchestration security.
- Demonstrated ability to model risk, justify security investments, and communicate complex technical concepts to executive audiences.
