Summary
Experienced Construction Project Manager responsible for managing high-end retail construction projects from concept through final delivery, ensuring quality, budget, and schedule targets are met while coordinating multiple stakeholders across design and construction teams.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all phases of retail construction projects from preconstruction through close-out
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and cost reports
- Coordinate architects, designers, engineers, contractors, and vendors
- Review shop drawings for design intent and constructability
- Secure and manage permits, inspections, and local code compliance
- Prepare and manage budgets, change orders, and payment applications
- Solicit and level bids, negotiate contracts with contractors and subcontractors
- Ensure workmanship meets luxury retail standards and enforce on-site safety
- Manage punch lists, warranties, close-out documents, and turnover to facilities
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or equivalent experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience managing construction projects, preferably high-end retail or hospitality
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, building codes, and luxury finishes
- Proficiency with project management software such as MS Project, Procore, or Primavera
- Experience with P2P software such as SAP
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills
- Ability to manage multiple fast-paced projects and complex schedules
- Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality finishes
- Ability to travel for site visits and meetings as required
