Summary
The Shipping And Receiving Manager oversees end-to-end shipping, receiving, and inventory operations for a multistore operation, ensuring product integrity and timely merchandise processing while supervising and developing the department team and aligning procedures with company standards.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily shipping, receiving, and inventory operations
- Plan and manage inbound and outbound shipments including returns
- Process and verify incoming merchandise against purchase orders
- Monitor inventory accuracy and maintain detailed documentation
- Optimize back of house space utilization and workflow
- Manage equipment, supplies, and resolve shipment discrepancies
- Supervise, train, and develop shipping and receiving staff
- Establish and enforce standard operating procedures and safety regulations
- Coordinate with store management, vendors, carriers, and cross functional teams
Requirements
- 5+ years of shipping and receiving operations management experience
- Previous supervisory experience
- Experience with retail inventory management systems
- Knowledge of shipping regulations, safety requirements, and retail operations
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and analytical skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and inventory management systems
- Ability to lift and stand for extended periods
- Ability to work flexible schedule including evenings weekends and holidays
