Summary
Responsible for supporting the trade compliance program across the Americas zone during maternity coverage, ensuring compliance with customs laws and regulations and optimizing trade data and processes. Works under guidance of the Sr. Manager Trade Compliance and Logistics and liaises with brokers, business partners, and regulatory agencies to facilitate international shipments and compliance activities. Requires customs broker license and strong experience with US and Canadian trade regulations.
Responsibilities
- Support compliance with Customs laws and regulations for US Canada and St. Barth
- Respond to broker and business partner queries to facilitate customs clearance
- Draft responses to CPBP inquiries and maintain communication with regulatory agencies
- Manage duty drawback reporting audit and optimization activities
- Organize and audit drawback claims filed by brokers and identify additional savings
- Perform internal audits of entries and classification databases for multiple countries
- Assist with special customs related projects and exceptional shipment flows
- Support Temporary Import Bond compliance for Repair and After Sales Service Center
- Manage compliance with C-TPAT and PIP supply chain security programs
Requirements
- 5 years of experience in trade compliance supply chain logistics or related field
- Valid U S Customs Broker License
- Knowledge of US and Canadian customs and agencies including US FWS and Environment Canada
- Strong analytical problem solving and classification skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work autonomously manage priorities and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for diverse audiences
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with data management systems
- Experience with SAP a plus
