Senior Tax Associate - Tribeca

The Senior Tax Associate at David Yurman is responsible for preparing and reconciling sales and use tax schedules, as well as filing monthly, quarterly, and annual sales tax returns. This role is based in New York, NY, with a hybrid work model allowing for both in-office and remote work.

• Prepare and reconcile sales and use tax schedules, and file tax returns on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis both manually and via return preparation software.
• Assist with software implementations.
• Research current tax law changes with respect to sales and use tax, corporate, and franchise taxes using various research tools.
• Maintain all current business licenses and apply for new state and local licenses for new businesses or stores.
• Assist the Tax Manager with various state audits and finance initiatives.
• Address and investigate tax notices from various jurisdictions.

• 1-3 years of experience predominantly with indirect taxes, specifically sales tax, and general accounting.
• Experience with tax preparation software preferred (e.g., Vertex).
• Experience with general accounting software (e.g., Oracle).
• Ability to work well in a team environment with a focus on collaboration and partnership.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and proactive organization.
• Good communication skills.
• BBA in Accounting.
