Shoe Care Specialist - Shops at Merrick Park

As a Shoe Care Specialist at the Shops at Merrick Park, you will be responsible for providing exceptional shoe care services, including shining, minor repairs, and customer consultations. You will ensure the shine stand is organized and meet productivity goals while delivering outstanding customer service.

• Perform and complete shoe care tasks according to Nordstrom guidelines and service standards.
• Ensure the shine stand is organized and ready to deliver on customer expectations.
• Shine shoes and provide consultation on care of shoes and minor repairs.
• Utilize store technology to answer phones, checkout customers, and properly record customer information.
• Meet department and individual productivity goals.
• Communicate supply needs in a timely manner to the manager.
• Maintain accurate records of shoe care transactions and record tips daily.
• Flex into other shoe stock and cleaning tasks when needed.

• Basic math, organization, and written communication skills.
• Preferred minimum 1-2 years of previous shoeshine experience.
• Ability to effectively build relationships with customers, peers, and leadership through clear and professional communication.
• A willingness to learn, and a high level of ownership for personal growth, accountability, and initiative.
• Ability to work independently, with little or no day-to-day direction.
• Ability to embrace a flexible working schedule based on business needs.
