Summary
The Selling Supervisor is a member of the retail leadership team who supports the Store Manager in daily store operations while driving sales and delivering exceptional customer service. This role coaches and motivates sales associates, maintains merchandising and clientele records, and ensures operational and cash-handling standards are met.
Responsibilities
- Support the Store Manager with coordination of daily store operations, including opening and closing.
- Assist with receiving merchandise, merchandising the sales floor, and maintaining a clientele book.
- Perform cash handling tasks including preparing deposits and supervising sales transactions to ensure accuracy and adherence to cash protection procedures.
- Coach, train, and motivate sales staff to meet and exceed sales targets and service objectives.
- Engage in promoting and selling products to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and repeat business.
- Assist Store Manager with operational excellence and ad hoc store responsibilities.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of luxury retail experience in a similar or supervisory role.
- Strong customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships and set high performance standards.
- Ability to learn quickly, adapt in a fast-paced environment, and work effectively under pressure.
- Proficient with POS systems, personal computers, and common software including MS Office.
- Ability to influence, negotiate, and operate with discretion.
