Supervisor Safety

As an Environmental Safety Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in implementing and enhancing environmental compliance programs. You will lead site management in the storage, handling, and disposal of chemicals and solid waste, ensuring compliance with state and federal safety regulations. Your efforts will foster a culture of safety and compliance across all levels of the organization.

• Manage the development and implementation of environmental systems, plans, programs, and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable policies.
• Interpret EPA regulations, identify impacts, and coordinate necessary changes.
• Keep employees informed on environmental issues and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws.
• Drive waste minimization initiatives and oversee industrial hygiene testing and monitoring.
• Track environmental inspections, audit findings, and corrective actions.
• Act as the primary first responder to environmental emergencies and establish relationships with local, state, and federal agencies.
• Develop and maintain equipment/process inspection programs to identify potential environmental hazards.

• Bachelor’s degree in chemical, mechanical, or environmental engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in environmental technology and regulatory concepts.
• Experience with RCRA, Solid Waste Management, Storm Water, Wastewater, and Process Water regulations.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Preferred qualifications include certified wastewater pretreatment operator and CHMM, CIH, or similar certifications.
