Tailor / Fitter - Short Hills

Summary

Provide professional alterations and fitting services on-site to meet customer expectations for garment fit and finish. Report to the Alterations Manager and perform sewing machine and hand-sewing work to resize and restyle merchandise for customers.

Responsibilities

• Measure and fit garments to achieve customer expectations
• Perform alterations and customizations on a variety of garments
• Operate sewing machines and apply hand-sewing methods
• Manage and measure work to ensure accuracy
• Provide customers with service fees and lead time information
• Maintain attention to detail for quality results
• Support resizing and restyling of store merchandise

Requirements

• Prior functional and technical alterations skills
• Experience operating sewing machines
• Ability to perform precise hand-sewing work
• Process management and organizational skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Customer service orientation
