Summary

The Tailor provides expert fitting and alteration services to ensure garments fit properly and meet customer expectations. The role involves measuring and fitting customers, performing sewing alterations, and managing alteration requests using store technology. The Tailor works closely with the store team to achieve department productivity and service standards.

Responsibilities

• Measure customers for size and mark garments for alterations
• Fit garments on customers and complete alterations on time
• Sew and press alterations according to store guidelines and service standards
• Meet department and individual productivity goals while following processes
• Utilize store technology to manage and organize customer alteration needs
• Collaborate with the alterations and store team and educate customers and employees on fit and construction

Requirements

• Previous fitting, tailoring, and sewing experience; preferred minimum of 2 years
• Clear, professional communication with coworkers and customers
• Ability to stay organized and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Willingness to learn and safely operate sewing, pressing machinery, and standard alterations equipment
• Flexibility to work a variable schedule based on business needs
