Summary

Provide professional fitting and tailoring services to customers, performing alterations and fittings to Nordstrom standards while delivering excellent customer service in a fast paced retail alterations shop.

Responsibilities

• Measure customers for size and fit garments
• Fit garments on customers and mark areas requiring alterations
• Perform sewing alterations and complete customer fittings on time
• Meet department and individual productivity goals
• Use store technology to manage and organize alteration requests
• Collaborate with the Alterations and Store Team to deliver customer expectations
• Educate customers and employees on fit style construction and trends

Requirements

• Previous fitting tailoring and sewing experience, preferred minimum of 2 years
• Clear professional communication with coworkers and customers
• Ability to stay organized and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
• Willingness to learn and safely operate sewing pressing machinery and alterations equipment
• Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs
