Summary

The Tailor performs garment alterations to ensure customers receive a precise fit and an elevated in-store experience. The role works closely with store management and sales associates while maintaining high standards of craftsmanship.

Responsibilities

• Alter men’s suits, shirts, coats, blazers, and trousers, including adjusting sleeves, collars, waists, and lengths.
• Mark garments accurately and ensure alterations meet quality standards for fit and finish.
• Collaborate with sales associates on customer sizing and garment recommendations.
• Maintain an organized tailor shop and keep equipment in good working order.
• Deliver timely alterations and attentive customer service.

Requirements

• Previous garment alteration experience, preferably in men’s tailoring or formalwear.
• Proficiency in sewing techniques and basic tailoring equipment and machines.
• Knowledge of fabrics, garment construction, and color perception.
• Strong organizational, planning, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment and a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
