Summary
The Temp Operations Associate supports boutique operations by maintaining inventory and stock areas, processing shipping and receiving, and ensuring compliance with company inventory control procedures. This role assists with merchandising, housekeeping, and loss prevention while communicating with central distribution and management.
Responsibilities
- Process all shipping and receiving transactions accurately and efficiently
- Maintain an orderly stock and receiving area and general store maintenance
- Handle inbound freight, returns to vendors, chargebacks, transfers and damages per policy
- Support inventory control by participating in inventory and cycle counts
- Ensure merchandise is properly ticketed and security tagged to prevent loss
- Assist with floor moves, merchandising, display maintenance and price changes
- Pack or wrap customers merchandise when necessary
- Communicate with central distribution and corporate inventory control
- Comply with company policies and participate in store meetings and training
Requirements
- Previous retail stock shipping and receiving experience
- Ability to handle receiving operations and proper merchandise handling
- Strong interpersonal communication organization and follow-through skills
- Ability to read count and write to complete documentation accurately
- Ability to process information through inventory computer systems
- Ability to operate necessary equipment including sensor-tag remover
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and perform heavy lifting
- Ability to work varied hours including nights weekends and holidays
