Watchmaker

Summary

Experienced watchmaker responsible for complete servicing of mechanical and quartz timepieces, following proper repair protocols and quality control standards. Performs testing, regulation, assembly and final inspection of Breitling models and other movements. Works closely with management on repairs and temporary projects.

Responsibilities

• Complete service of mechanical and quartz movements including in-house, ETA and modular chronograph movements
• Test timepieces for accuracy and performance using specialized tools and equipment
• Regulate timing of mechanical timepieces and perform escapement and hairspring adjustments
• Record quantities, serial and model numbers and work performed for repairs
• Set dials and hands while adhering to tight manufacturing tolerances
• Disassemble and assemble cases and bracelets
• Perform quality control checks on repaired timepieces
• Collaborate with local management on repair standards and temporary projects

Requirements

• WOSTEP, SAWTA, AWCI 21 or similar watchmaking certification
• 2 - 3 years of watchmaking experience
• Experience with escapement and hairspring adjustments
• Strong attention to detail and good organizational skills
• Computer knowledge for recording repairs and testing
• Ability to remain seated for extended periods
• Willingness to work overtime when needed
