Summary
The Wholesale Training Specialist delivers training to partner retailers to expand the retail network, drive sales targets, and elevate the customer experience. This hands-on role coaches retail sales teams on the selling floor, assesses training needs across the North American market, and partners with leadership to implement and evaluate training programs.
Responsibilities
- Partner with Training Manager and Sales Director to assess retailer training and development needs.
- Plan and implement training activities in support of global and market initiatives.
- Coach and train retail sales teams through on-the-floor observation and partnership moments.
- Facilitate on-the-job learning and lead by example on the selling floor.
- Report on training effects, skill gaps, and behavior changes via store visit recaps.
- Establish partnerships and communication to ensure program delivery and adherence to standards.
- Evaluate training effectiveness and provide feedback to influence program design.
- Coordinate and order training supplies within guidelines and budget.
- Travel extensively to partner stores in the United States and Canada to deliver trainings.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years wholesale or retail training experience, preferably in luxury retail.
- Minimum 2 years working within wholesale accounts.
- Experience delivering product and service centric training.
- Strong coaching, motivating, and influencing abilities.
- Comfort and confidence interacting on the selling floor with luxury clientele.
- Knowledge of adult learning principles and training methodologies preferred.
- Strong presentation and facilitation skills and business acumen.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and written and verbal communication skills.
- Customer-focused attitude with high level of professionalism.
