Summary

The Workshop Jeweler fabricates high-end gold and platinum jewelry, producing and repairing pieces to meet quality standards and project timelines. The role involves cast cleaning, assembly, polishing and careful handling of diamonds and precious stones to support high jewelry production. The position requires adherence to prescribed routing steps, appropriate tooling, security procedures and clear communication of project status.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate, assemble, clean and repair platinum and gold jewelry, including complex and intricate pieces.
• Handle diamonds and precious stones, ensuring components are protected to avoid damage.
• Follow directions from peer coach and management and adhere to prescribed routing steps to meet timelines.
• Verify accuracy of work orders, track locations and high-value components, and notify manager of discrepancies.
• Comply with security operating procedures and maintain material and work order control, including putting away materials before exiting the facility.
• Work overtime as required to support business needs.

Requirements

• Bench experience in high-end jewelry manufacturing.
• Knowledge of complex jewelry construction, polishing techniques and precious metal properties.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work with team members and management.
• High School Diploma or equivalent and ability to work overtime when needed.
• Preferred: accredited jewelry certification and experience with jewelry polishing processes.
