Job Description

Job Mission

You are a key member of Cartier North America’s Learning & Transformation Team (L&T). This position supports learning initiatives at the Cartier 5th Avenue flagship. You will implement a blended-learning strategy using a range of training methodologies and coaching skills to foster a learning culture within this iconic boutique. This includes the scheduling, facilitation, and measurement of both in-person and virtual training on topics such as client development, client experience, interviewing skills, product, DE&I, and hospitality/selling skills. Additionally, you will be responsible for ensuring the consistency of the new hire onboarding journey, Mon Voyage Cartier, in strong partnership with boutique leadership. As a part of this client-centric team, which is focused on Cartier employee development throughout the talent lifecycle, you will work cross-functionally with various levels of leadership. This will include partnerships with a variety of subject matter experts within the organization to identify learning needs, then propose and implement solutions. Success factors for this role include a passion for learning and the development of others, a collaborative mindset, open communication, and ability to build a strong network of key business partners.

Key Responsibilities

Learning and Development

  • Draft, validate, and implement the annual 5th Avenue Mansion Training Action Plan in support of boutique, region, and network-wide business priorities
  • Orchestrate Cartier’s new hire onboarding program, Mon Voyage Cartier. Audit results & address shortfalls
  • Assess engagement and monitor completion of monthly Learning Moments and e-Learning in partnership with the Boutique Learning Ambassadors (Blas)
  • Create a dynamic learning environment when delivering core training content (product, selling skills, client development, and others); Engage participants & check for understanding
  • Partner with the instructional design team to perform gap analyses and learning needs assessments within the 5th Avenue Mansion
  • Integrate the department learning measurement strategy (the Kirkpatrick Model) in all training activations. Foster open communication by sharing results, addressing shortfalls, and course correct the training approach when needed
  • Deliver and measure effectiveness of all self-created micro-trainings based on specific needs for boutique team members
  • Attend all train-the-trainer sessions and plan for the launch of new, network-wide learning curriculum

Collaboration and Cross-functional Partnerships

  • Cultivate and maintain strong business partnerships with the 5th Avenue Mansion Leadership Team, Hrbp as well as the Northeast Region Vp.
  • Collaborate with key business partners to ensure activation of L&T initiatives within the 5th Avenue Mansion
  • Collaborate with the Blas and 5th Avenue Mansion Leadership on timely implementation of learning moments and e-Learning engagement. Audit engagement and address shortfalls
  • Elevate the Boutique Learning Ambassador (BLA) performance through skill development workshops as well as periodic in-person, observed facilitation and shadowing
  • Coach for success and improvement
  • Maintain a strong peer network with all members of the L&T Team
  • Establish consistent and ongoing communication cadence with Senior Manager, Learning & Transformation, Director of Learning & Transformation, Hrbp, and Northeast Region VP on all key activations, events, challenges, and achievement that occur in the 5th Avenue Mansion

Coaching

  • Leverage goal setting, powerful questioning, active listening, and Smart action planning to support the coaching skill development of boutique leadership (“Coach the Coach”)
  • Enhance the boutique teams’ hospitality, selling skills and client development strategies by partnering with boutique leadership to observe customer interactions, perform role plays, and lead coaching sessions that help to build genuine, long-lasting client relationships
  • Coach and facilitate regional leadership meetings for various levels of management to support individual/team development and strategic planning

Candidate Profile & Qualifications

Education

  • Educational background or commensurate experience in adult learning, facilitation, and instructional design principles
  • Associate Professional in Talent Development (APTD), Certified Professional in Learning Performance (CPLP), or Associate Certified Coach (ACC) accreditation is a plus
  • Kirkpatrick Training Effectiveness certification is a plus

Required Experience

  • Demonstrated Learning & Development success in a high profile, customer-centric, luxury retail environment (or related luxury field) that includes UHNW clients, and high sales targets
  • Background in coaching individual contributors and leadership within a luxury retail environment (or related luxury field) with an emphasis on selling skills, client development, and business and team development
  • Experience in virtual and in-person facilitation of both large- and small-scale training events
  • Ability to create strong relationships, build trust, and establish credibility with individual contributors, HRBPs, and all levels of Leadership
  • Ability to adapt interpersonal communication style to a diverse team of internal, global business partners
  • Computer proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is required
  • Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English
  • Ability to accommodate up to 20% travel
