Job Description

The Operations Associate at Watchbox, a vintage luxury watch retailer, is responsible for supporting the efficient and effective operations of our store in New York. You will work closely with the small team in the New York office and the headquarters in Philadelphia to support the sales team and ensure that the back of house is organized and compliant with retail operations and standards. Your responsibilities will include receiving and handling stock orders, ensuring the accuracy of products received, supporting the sales team with retrieving stock, maintaining a tidy back of house, and performing quality control on all products. In addition, you will be responsible for handling adhoc administration tasks, such as answering telephone calls, responding to customer service inquiries, and ordering stationary and supplies. We are seeking a candidate with excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, communication skills, and the ability to work well in a team and handle a busy environment. Basic computer skills in Microsoft software are also required. Job Purpose:

  • Through your passion for the brand and professionalism, you will be responsible for effectively and efficiently supporting the store back of house operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Receiving and handling stock orders from the hub or warehouse
  • Ensuring accuracy of products received and reporting any discrepancies
  • Supporting the sales team with retrieving stock in a timely manner, including omnichannel and stock pullback
  • Keeping the back of house tidy and compliant with retail operations and standards
  • Performing quality control on all products at all times and reporting any issues to the store lead
  • Handling adhoc administration tasks, such as answering telephone calls, responding to customer service inquiries, and ordering stationary and supplies
  • Assisting with events, visual merchandising, stock taking, and other adhoc requests from store management

Personal Profile:

  • Excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Basic computer skills in core Microsoft software
  • Ability to work well in a team
  • Ability to handle a busy environment

Requirements:

  • Experience in watches or jewelry is preferred
  • Experience in retail operations is a plus
